CEMS Testing
Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) Testing
Many industrial facilities are required by Federal, Local, and State regulatory agencies to monitor emissions from certain sources on a continuous basis. To ensure data accuracy and reliability, sources are required under EPA regulations to perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control testing.
C.E.M. Solutions performs QA/QC testing for its customers in a variety of industries. Our testing engineers have the experience and knowledge to complete all stages of QA/QC testing. By following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) derived from promulgated EPA test procedures and test methods, data accuracy and reliability are assured to our clients.
CEMS emissions overreporting can be minimized by utilizing three-dimensional volumetric flow probes (USEPA Method 2F) and wall adjustment factors (USEPA Method 2H) during flow monitor characterizations and RATAs.
Typical QA/QC tests performed by C.E.M. Solutions are:
• Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA)
• Cylinder Gas Audit (CGA) for Part 60, and Linearity Test (LT) for Part 75
• Opacity Performance Audit
• Initial CEM Certification Tests
____- RATA
____- Cycle Response Test
____- Opacity Certification Test
____- 7 Day drift test
____- CGA/Linearity
Test data is compiled on site, therefore test results can be derived before leaving site. If the parameters being tested do not meet performance specifications, our personnel have the expertise to determine where errors are being introduced.
